These general conditions apply to all reservations and agreements relating to camping at Camping Les Ochay made with Sympa & Tranquille à la Semois srl, Rue de Linglé 39, 6880 Mortehan.
1.Booking
Reservations can be made on the website www.campinglesochay.be via the “book now” button.
2.Deposit
We require a deposit of 30% of the total amount. Payment of the deposit must be made immediately via the payment link in the booking confirmation you receive from us. Your booking is only final after receipt of your deposit.
3.Remaining amount
You pay the remaining amount via bank transfer before arrival or during the compulsory check-in on arrival. You can pay cash or electronically on the spot.
4.Prices
Prices remain unchanged for 1 calendar year subject to any printing errors, unforeseen VAT surcharges taxes and government surcharges and actual obvious mistakes.
When booking via www.campinglesochay.be you will receive a price quote. Although prices are entered into the reservation system with the utmost care, Camping Les Ochay reserves the right to go back on a quote. The total price becomes final on receipt of written confirmation with the invoice.
Prices are inclusive of VAT.
5.Cancellation
Cancellations can only be made in writing via info@campinglesochay.be. If your stay cannot take place, for example due to illness or private circumstances, we will consider your deposit (30% of the total amount) as compensation for the sudden release of the pitch.
We recommend that you take out cancellation insurance in case you have to cancel your stay.
If you do not arrive on the agreed arrival date, the pitch will be kept free for 1 night. If we have not received any notification, we will no longer keep the pitch available for you thereafter without any refund.
In case of cancellation by Camping Les Ochay, except in cases of force majeure, the amounts paid for the reservation will be fully refunded. However, this cancellation cannot give rise to the payment of damages and interest.
6.Arrival and departure
Arrival on the campsite is possible from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the latest.
You must leave your pitch by 12 noon on the day of departure. On departure, the pitch must be vacated and left clean.
If the length of your stay is shorter than the period booked, no refunds will be made. You must therefore pay the total rental fee up to the reserved departure date.
7.Pitch
You will be allocated your pitch when you check in; if you move to a different pitch from the one confirmed at reception, we reserve the right to move you to the allocated one.
Heavy vehicles with a total weight of more than 3 tonnes do not have access to the second part of the campsite, i.e. the “island”.
If you book a preferential pitch at the time of reservation, the allocation of the pitch only becomes final after receipt of the reservation confirmation and payment of your deposit. You will be charged €10 for this option during booking.
8.Camping equipment
If you come to the campsite with a means of camping other than that specified in your reservation, we reserve the right to allocate you a pitch suitable for your means of camping. If a suitable pitch is no longer available, your stay will be cancelled without any refund.
Please note, heavy vehicles with a total weight of more than 3 tonnes cannot cross the seasonal bridge at the campsite. Such vehicles can only occupy pitches in the first part of the campsite.
9.Vehicles
During your stay, you are permitted to drive a vehicle onto the site. The vehicle must be parked on your own pitch and a maximum of one additional vehicle per pitch may be booked as an option.
Other vehicles must be parked outside the campsite.
Motorised traffic is not permitted on the campsite between 22:00 and 08:00.
10.Visitors
Visitors must immediately report to reception on arrival and pay the visit fee, 5 euros per person. Visitors must leave the campsite by 8pm.
Customers of the terrace do not have access to the rest of the campsite. They may use the toilets, but may not enter the campsite beyond the terrace at the level of the reception at the front of the campsite.
11.Pets
A maximum of 4 pets are allowed per pitch.
The owner of the animal is liable for any damage or contamination.
The owner must also ensure that the presence of his pet does not disturb other guests. Animals must not be left unattended.
Pets are not allowed in the sanitary building.
Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times on the campsite and must be taken outside.
Les Ochay campsite reserves the right to ban pets that appear dangerous to other guests.
12.Electricity
It is not permitted to connect high-consumption electrical appliances, such as air conditioners and heaters, to the campsite’s electricity grid.
Charging (semi-)electric cars is also not permitted.
13.Photo & video
Camping Les Ochay may take atmospheric pictures on the campsite during your stay and use them on www.campinglesochay.be and social media. If the tenant objects to the use of certain media material in which the tenant, family members or one of its guests are recognisably depicted, the tenant can make this known. This can be done either verbally during the stay or in writing afterwards via info@campinglesochay.be.
14.Rules of conduct
Campers and their visitors must respect the internal regulations and the general terms and conditions. Payment of the deposit/total amount implies acceptance of the general conditions and internal regulations of Les Ochay campsite.
In the event of non-compliance with the rules and regulations, after a first verbal warning, the tenant and his entire party will be asked to leave Camping Les Ochay without any refund.
Theft, vandalism, verbal or physical aggression will result in the immediate removal of the offender, with his entire party, without any form of refund.
15.Camera surveillance
Security cameras have been installed in various places for your and our safety. The images are digitally recorded, are overwritten after a maximum of 8 weeks and will never be made public unless requested by compelling circumstances (in case of emergencies).
The presence of the security cameras have been reported to the Belgian government (Personal Data Protection Act May 2018).
16.Liability
Camping Les Ochay cannot be held liable for loss, theft, damage or injury caused to or by guests of Camping Les Ochay.
Use of equipment made available by Camping Les Ochay or participation in activities organised by Camping Les Ochay or by third parties is entirely at your own risk.
Guests are jointly and severally liable for any damage caused to the property of Camping Les Ochay.
17.Amendment clause
Camping Les Ochay is authorised to unilaterally amend these terms and conditions. The latest version is always available at www.campinglesochay.be and can be consulted at reception.

1.Booking
Reservations can be made at info@campinglesochay.be or at the reception of Camping Les Ochay, Rue de Linglé 39, 6880 Mortehan.
2.Cancel
If the kayak or canoe trip cannot take place due to a decision by the manager or the authorities, e.g. due to low or high water levels, the reservation will be cancelled free of charge.
3.Safety and rules of conduct
Minors must be accompanied by at least one adult. Minors under 12 must wear a life jacket during the kayak trip. This is provided free of charge.
Kayakers must keep a safe distance from fishermen.
Kayakers should be mindful of weather conditions. When caught in a thunderstorm, one should leave the water and tie up the kayaks.
Fauna and flora must be respected. You must not moor on the small islands in the Semois so as not to disturb the peace of the birds. All rubbish must of course be taken to the collection point.
Camping Maka, located at a collection point, is private property and not accessible to persons not staying at this campsite.
4.Liability
Kayaks Les Ochay cannot be held liable for any loss, damage or injury caused during a kayak or canoe trip. The use of equipment provided by Kayaks Les Ochay is at your own risk.
Users are jointly and severally liable for damage to Les Ochay property. In the event of damage or loss, the following charges will apply:
– paddle: 35 euros
– life jacket: 45 euros
– waterproof barrel: 10 euros
– kayak/canoe: the fee for this corresponds to the current value. (€300 to €700)
5.Prices

6. Payment
Payment is generally made before the start of the kayak or canoe trip by electronic or cash payment at the reception of Camping Les Ochay. Only for companies can payment by invoice be authorised.
Invoices must be paid within 30 days of the invoice date.
7.Departure and arrival
Departures are only possible between 10 a.m. and 12 noon. Guests should report to Les Ochay campsite reception by 11.45 a.m. at the latest.
You must dock on the beach at Camping Maka or at the bridge in Dohan before 16.00 and call 0032 476 83 36 92. Those who do not arrive on time at any of the above pick-up points risk having to return to the start location on their own.
8.Photo & video
Kayaks Les Ochay may take atmospheric images during your kayak or canoe trip and use them on www.campinglesochay.be and social media. If the use objects to the use of certain media material in which users are recognisably in the picture, this can be made known. This can be done either verbally before or after the trip or in writing afterwards via info@campinglesochay.be.
